Another curious fact is that the noble art of terrazzo making dates back to the end of the 15th century. This flooring is made by adding marble chips to lime, and this agglomerate is then formed into a smooth, homogeneous slab of terrazzo
There are two main techniques for making this type of Venetian flooring, one dry and one wet, but only the wet method respects the ancient Venetian tradition and can be properly called “terrazzo”.
